The Shakedown are a Jazz sextet who play a mixture of Standards alongside their version of famous rock and pop classics. Expect songs from Black Sabbath, Led Zeppellin, Sam Sparrow, The Rolling Stones and Blur.

The band have been entertaining audiences across the country since forming back in 2008 and have appeared at Birmingham, Wigan and Marsden as well as Jazz venues across the North West and the Midlands.

The band consists of Andrzej Baranek on Piano, Nick Blacka on Bass, Hugh Lawrence on Drums, Steve Chadwick on Trumpet, Kenji Fenton on Tenor Sax and Paul on Vocals.

The Shakedown released their first album entitled 'Terracotta' in January 2010 and is available on ITunes for download.
