That Swing Thing is a Jazz and Swing collective of musicians that can perform as a duo, a trio, all the way up to a 10 piece big band. They recreate the music of the 1940s and 1950s to give any event a touch of class and vibrance. They also play Jive, Latin and Soul songs to make sure the dancefloor is full for the whole evening

The band can scale down to various sizes to cater for your individual needs. With some of the best Jazz musicians from the North West you can be sure of a professional and entertaining show.

That Swing Thing have been together for 8 years and have played at various functions along their journey. They opened the new wing at Birmingham International Airport in 2009, played at the Birmingham Intl Jazz Festival in 2008 and have been employed to play at countless weddings and parties all over the country.

The band can consist of drums, double bass, piano, guitar, saxes, trumpets and both male and female vocals.

If you want your event to finish with a bang then the large 9 or 10 piece band would be suitable. If you want background music whilst your guest eat or drink they could come as a quartet or quintet. If you want something really low key and mood setting then perhaps a duo or trio with vocals would be ideal. The setup of the band is completely down to you!
